Travel Tuesday: London

Soon (September 1st) I shall be spending a night or three in glorious London (high fives all round) and just like any keen traveller I want to research as much about the city as possible before I venture out there. I'm hoping this visit will become a regular occurrence in my life, especially now that my photography portfolio (I specialise in floral, travel and nature) is starting to take shape. I'm hoping to sell a few of my images to various shops, hotels and the like, but until then I want to enjoy my trip to London and here are a few activities that I may (or may not) partake;

Museum Tour - As a photographer and artist I will probably be spending a whole different art galleries. Recently I've been feeling uninspired so a Museum Tour will be compulsory! I need to get the creative flow going again.  Create art, give myself projects and fill my head with new ideas. Some of the Museum I shall be taking inspiration from shall be the National Portrait Gallery which holds portraits of Britons from Tudor times. Natural History Museum will be a stopping point, especially since it holds exhibitions on wildlife gardens, and since I'm a floral photographer it might give me the boost I need to grab my camera and take some pictures. The Tate is an obvious stop, it's been the home of British Art since 1500, there will be plenty of inspiration for me there and The Saatchi Gallery, maybe seeing fine art work will inspire me to think outside the box.

Sea Life London Aquarium - Who doesn't love a good aquarium. I've been wanting to visit one for a while so I'll definitely be doing this on my trip. There is nothing more therapeutic that watching tropical fish swimming through calm water. There is a fee to enter and it's great for all ages. it's not just fish that reside in the aquarium; you also have penguins too and according to their website they have little ones for us to enjoy and coo over! You can also snorkel with sharks too, which is something I've always wanted to do however the ticket price for an adult is £125.00 which is out of my budget (might have to save and do it on my next trip)
Here is the link to their website which has ticket prices and details on their fun activities

Parks - As a floral photographer I will have to visit a park or two and London has enough to keep my shutter busy. There is Primrose Hill which holds a spectacular view of the city and Hyde Park which was once a hunting ground for Henry VIII. There is also Regent's Park which is situated near London Zoo.

Putt in the Park - I love Crazy Golf. You love Crazy Golf. Everyone loves Crazy Golf, and therefore Putt in the Park is a must for me (maybe not this trip but definitely the next). The miniature golf course has been designed to challenge any type of golfer - from professionals to those who play for shits and giggles.

Camden Market - Obviously I'm going to London to get my shopping fix and Camden is the place to do it. Camden Market has many unique stalls and vintage shops and is home to some great London cuisine. It's well known so be prepared to be bombarded by many tourists.

London Dungeon - If it's anything like York Dungeon then it's going to be amazing! The Dungeon has undergone a transformation and is now better than ever. It'll bring 1000 years of London history to life such as Guy Fawkes plot to blow up Parliament

I  hope to do a few of the above, but like I said I can do some another time.
