Personal Post: Pride in Cardiff

Living for the weekend! Cardiff held it's annual Mardi Gras this week and as always the city centre was lively and full of life! 

The weather at the moment is a mixture of summer and autumn. Sunny when the sun isn't hiding behind the clouds so it's the perfect jumper weather!

My jumper is courtesy of top and it's one of my favourites. It's a dark crop top with little white specs. Simple but nice at the same time.

I had lunch in a little cafe in the park named 'Summertime'. I opted for a tuna melt and I'm not kidding when I say it was the most delicious panini I've ever tasted! Filled with melted cheese and sweetcorn, it was incredibly filling. Compliments to the chef!

On the Sunday I decided to give myself a break from the usual morning fruit platter and take my business to Mount Stuart which is always reasonably priced and the food is always on top form. I ordered my usual: Eggs Benedict, and as usual it was scrumptious, the sauce is always beautiful and the eggs were cooked just right! 

To work off my eggs Benedict I decided to take a walk to the wetlands ( make the most of this lovely weather we have). It such a beautiful walk, I recommend it to anyone living in the Bay area.

Outfit Post and Penarth

It's so lovely, when it's sunny. But when you live in the UK you don't really know whether it's going to be sunny or pouring it down so my outfit for my trip to Penarth consisted of leggings, a vest top from Next ( just incase the sun decided to pop out) and my grey jacket from Next.

Accessories include my handbag and boots, both of which are from Debenhams.

The leggings are incredibly comfy and they fit well while the top was once nice now slightly baggy (I've lost 2 stone since February - it fit well then).

I love this jacket because of the hood. Sometimes you'll find with some hooded jackets and coats that the whole hood doesn't reach all the way over your head, and it's such a pet peeve of mine. I like my hoods reaching all the way over covering my fringe too not just half of my head, and as you can see from above the hood does exactly what I like.

Without the studs this bag would be incredibly boring, I'm not really big on the pattern, but I didn't buy this bag because of it's appearance. With two big pockets inside, as well as zips and buttons you can have that feeling of security knowing that no one can get into your bag. 

These boots are great. I wear them on nights out too (I have a high arch so heels would be a stupid idea). I'm really fussy with shoes (I only have six pairs - high standards) so they have to be perfect and also look good and, personally they make my legs look shapely. They're the right length too, not to short not to long.

Topshop and day out

Today I'm providing you with a new product from Topshop, my Boston Jersey! Perfect for this summer weather especially since I'm not much of a 'shorts and t-shirt' type of person.  Jersey's are everywhere these days but I think Topshop has the upper hand. They have one of these in pink too but I prefer having array of colour in my wardrobe.

Due to the fact I work full-time I won't be able to provide many 'outfit of the day' posts because usually I'm in my work clothes but I shall be providing a lot more fashion articles especially now I have got into the swing of my film Friday and travel Tuesday articles.

Today the boss of the family (my mother) is visiting so SHOPPING SPREE!! And, of course a nice meal somewhere!!

I decide to stick with my snakeskin shoes which I blogged about before since they're my comfiest pair and are good for my feet. I wish I could be one of those girls who can wear heels all the time but because I have a high arch my feet get really painful really quickly, so I rather look after my feet rather than make them worse.

We went to Ruby Tuesday's for food. I shall be writing a review soon.

We went to my workplace (John Lewis) for some afternoon tea. The carrot cake is to die for! 

Such a great girly day out, and I purchased a few new pieces that I shall blog about soon.

Welcome to the House of Fun: Outfit of the day + Barry Island

I've never been to Barry Island before (saying this usually leads to horrifying gasps, I assume you've had the same reaction) so it's safe to say I was looking forward to having a nice day there, and luckily the weather was on our side.

My outfit of the day is courtesy of the following shops:

Here is the look in full, high waisted shorts teamed with a light blue vest. A very simple look. 

A zip adds a nice little touch to the top, gives it a nice little zing and makes it stand out from your usual plain top. 

These are my comfiest shoes. A nice little snakeskin pattern and they give my feet some breathing space. 

Decided on this little jumper to give my outfit a bit of colour. Again, the top is from Next.
